Experience
Testel commenced business in 1995 in South Australia to provide specialist electrical safety testing and support services. Our client base covers in excess of 2000 sites. Currently, our database manages approximately 1,100,000 separate records.

Testel operate in Canberra, Queensland, New South Wales, Northern Territory, South Australia, Tasmania and Victoria and as part of the national program are currently expanding operations to Western Australia.

Testel staff travel to a number of country and regional sites on a regular basis. Traveling costs are minimized by apportioning them across participating organizations, based upon item numbers.

Capacity
The Testel client list displays diversity in nature of business, number of sites and equipment quantities. Testel has designed its system to accommodate any size organization with single or multiple sites. The management system is database driven, it is independent of the mobility of staff and will ensure timely reminders.
Clients range from:
Partnerships to large national organizations
Single site to greater than 100 sites
Private companies to government agencies
20 items per site to 80,000 per site

Software
Testel use a proprietary database called TES. Testel owns its copyright. It is a powerful management tool with a range of features which significantly reduce test time and operator time. This in turn reduces service costs whilst enhancing the accuracy and quality of our service.

TES is an interactive database. Clients can view a range of reports on their own desktop computer using the source data from the Testel server. Available reports include performance reports, budget forecasts, test results etc. As a further feature clients will have access to edit or append the data stored on the Testel server. This means contact details can be changed, new items can be purchased at a site and their details added to the database by authorized personnel, and so on.

Existing Registers And Existing Records
Existing records, which have been created in other systems, can be captured by TES. All data collected by TES can be transferred or reformatted to be compatible with other commercially available software.

Item Types To Test
Testel employ a team of licensed electricians that are supported by a range of other staff. Testel can conveniently test each of the following types of electrical items:
Appliances & Equipment
Emergency/exit lights
Outlets (power points)
RCDs (safety switches)

On-Site Testing Conducted By Testel Staff
Our staff conduct the range of testing to meet your specifications. Equipment is tagged, data recorded, plans drawn, repairs made, reports provided and the system is managed.
Subject to the nature of items and site location, test engineers generally conduct approximately 130 tests per day. In addition approximately 25% administration time is required to maintain the data and reporting system.
