The Testel Concept
Health and Safety laws (OHS) provide for the regular testing of all work place electrical equipment and emergency equipment. The required frequency of testing for an item is dependent upon the natural use of the item.
The management of the data and the results
is an integral part of the testing procedure. It can be a complex
issue due to:
 |
The large number of items
which require testing; |
 |
The range of frequencies which exists (1
month to 5 years) |
 |
The number of sites and |
 |
The local state requirements. |
Testel have developed a unique and powerful
data base program that “manages” all equipment
testing services and provides the appropriate management reports.
The database performs all computation and requires minimal
operator control.
Sites are flagged as they become due. Equipment within each
site is flagged as it becomes due. Local test engineers obtain
a run sheet detailing their work routine. A work instruction
for each site due for testing is created.
On site the local test engineers record testing results on
lap top computers. The data is uploaded centrally to the main
database. Data for all sites is stored centrally.
The database manages and monitors the full range of equipment
recorded. Reports are transmitted to clients in hard copy
or soft copy. Alternatively, the data and reports can be accessed
on-line through the Testel website. Clients can provide their staff with
the appropriate authority to access site, equipment and various
other details.
Herein lie significant benefits to clients.

All client sites are
managed centrally by a single account manager.
